A long term client of Isomerase, Abliva, announced positive interim analysis of their study of KL1333 in primary mitochondrial disease (Abliva Announces Positive Interim Analysis of the FALCON Study for KL1333 in Primary Mitochondrial Disease – Abliva). This is a significant step in the development of KL1333 in an area where there a few treatment options.
Isomerase has supported Abliva on the development of KL1333 through wet lab and consultancy services. This includes mechanism of action studies, metabolism studies, preparation of metabolites for bioanalysis (via biotransformation and synthesis), IP strategy, due diligence, chemical process development, CDMO selection and technology transfer.
Steven Moss, Isomerase CTO and KL1333 project team member, commented:
“Isomerase have supported Abliva for many years across different preclinical and clinical development projects. We are really pleased for the Abliva team, and the wider mitochondrial community, with this interim analysis and it sets the stage well for the next stage in the development of KL1333”.
