Within 6 weeks of the strain arriving at our labs in Cambridge, the team at Isomerase was able to generate high quality genomic DNA, send this for next-gen sequencing, analyse and compile the sequence data and prepare a detailed report for the client outlining the following:
- Key information on the biosynthetic gene clusters coding for the products of interest and related compounds.
- Identification of unknown clusters coding for additional and hitherto unexploited natural products within the strain.
- Outline the potential bioengineering modifications that could be used to deliver the key products
