Enzyme, protein, small molecule, and peptide supply
Using our Biopilot facility, based in Cambridge, UK, we can deliver proteins, enzymes, peptides, and small molecules, including natural products from milligram to kilogram scale.
We have taken processes from lab-scale fermentation to large-scale manufacturing and product approval. Migrating a process from a research environment to a more regulated manufacturing phase can be difficult and time-consuming. We support you through these transitions and ensure an effective and successful campaign.
Examples of where we can help with protein, peptide, natural product, and enzyme supply include:
- Rapid supply of milligram quantities of natural products: Where a strain is known, we can rapidly generate lab-scale fermentation processes and downstream processing (DSP) to get milligram quantities for proof-of-concept assays.
- Supply of gram quantities of small molecules: We take your process through pilot scale to get the quantities you need.
- Protein/enzyme supply and manufacture (milligrams to kilograms): We have developed in-house fermentation and DSP processes to ferment industrial microbial strains and induce them to produce isolated proteins.
- Recombinant peptide supply and manufacture: We have proprietary methods for generating recombinant peptides, particularly concerning reducing the costs of goods.
- Support with scaled non-GMP or GMP campaigns: We can support with CDMO selection from our network. We also manage tech transfer and validate the success of that transfer by putting boots on the ground to help manage the scale-up campaign.
- Cell Banks: We assist with producing and qualifying Master Cell Banks (MCBs) and Working Cell Banks (WCBs).
